Zeyes loves it when ZaC plays with him. He will wake up whenever he hears gor gor's voice. He watches with interest as gor gor talks or sings. He will giggle or laugh at the funny sounds made by ZaC too.

Zeyes loves to explore with his fingers. He is good at grabbing tiny items with his fingers and loves throwing those items. At night, he will pull his pacifier out and fling it far away. Mummy always has a problem locating it for him!

Zeyes LeArNs tO cRawL

Zeyes started crawling last weekend. Mummy discovered it when she tested him by placing her mobile phone a distance away from him. Zeyes does not crawl to any object. He only crawls to those which excites or interests him, e.g plastic bags, paper mailers, his favourite toys, lit up mobile phone with ZaC's picture. Sometimes, he gets lazy & will rather wait for others to place the items nearer to him.

oH bOy! YoU aRe 5 mOntHs oLd!

Zeyes is developing his gross motor skills. He has learnt how to turn himself 360 degrees on his tummy & is trying to lift his body off the ground using his arms & legs. He burrows forward by placing his head on the ground & pushing himself using his legs, just like a rabbit burrowing underground! It is dangerous as he can't see where he's heading & will wail loudly once his head hits something.  

He recognises familiar faces & smiles to them. He continues to use his hands to touch & feel things. He loves things which makes noises when he squeezes them, e.g plastic bags & titbit wrappers. 

He should be teething soon as he is sometimes fussy. He  rejected the teethers Mummy bought for him, prefering to place his fist into his tiny mouth & sucking hard. His lower gums are a little swollen.

Zeyes never fails to smile whenever he hears Mummy singing this nursery rhyme. It has been raining recently, so Mummy had many chances to sing it. Sometimes, Mummy sings it during sunny days just to see Zeyes' sweet smile.

At 14 weeks old, Zeyes rolls over on his own!

Zeyes is a lttle chatterbox. He loves talking to the animals hanging from his toy mobile & people! He can go on & on & on, coo-ing in his own baby language. Sometimes, he even wants to talk while Mummy is nursing him!

LiL' Zeyes tUrNs 3 mOntHs

Zeyes loves to sleep, especially on rainy days.  He also gets startled easily, not becos' he is timid but becos' he will be so focused on something. So when there is a sudden loud voice or sound which interrupts his concentration, he will be startled & starts to cry.
Zeyes is fascinated with his right hand, he stares at it & sucks on his knuckle a lot. He loves grabbing cloth items with his fingers & occasionally grabs at the skin around our neck as we carry him.
He is practising to push himself forward while lying on his tummy. He has mastered the art of pushing his bum upwards with his legs while on his back, indicating he wants to be carried. Or, he will let out short cries. He is good at getting our attention in his own ways.

Zeyes started smiling this week! When he sees familiar faces or his musical mobile toys, he will smile! It is so difficult to capture his split-second smiles!

Daddy gets to shower Zeyes only on weekends. Zeyes loves being in the water & will kick his legs excitedly while in the tub! Sometimes, he enjoys himself so much that he cries when he's taken out of the water!

Mummy made a scrapbook frame of Zeyes' palm and footprint. Zeyes' footprint is longer than ZaC's but his fingers are more chubby and shorter than ZaC's.

小姑姑shaved Zeyes' hair off. Now, he looks like a cute little monk! His features became more prominent with the hair all gone. We even discovered a small patch of birthmark on his scalp!

ZaC absolutely adores his younger brother. He talks to him in a high-pitched voice & shows him all his toys. When he reaches home, the first thing he does is to take a look at Zeyes. He gets excited when Zeyes coos or makes noises at him - he thinks Zeyes is talking to him! Daddy & Mummy hope both of them will grow up to be best buddies!

Zeyes loves to wriggle out of his swaddling blanket. He managed to get one arm out and fell asleep again.
